September 2nd, 2007

Floor heating is a concept that is rapidly gaining popularity in countries where the temperature fall far below 0oC, these countries include UK and Europe mostly as these are one of those region that enjoy less summer and more winter. And if it is dared to be said that the winters are tough in these areas then it would be an understatement.

Manufacturers are ever looking to develop something that can make life even easier. AC, fridge, freezers, ovens, microwaves are all such examples whose main purpose in our life is to make it comfortable and easy. In 60 A.D Romans realized that the need for such an invention that would make the winters easier to live, thus under-floor heating system was invented. In this system the base of the floors are covered with water pipes. These pipes are then covered with the flooring materials of the owner’s choice. The pipes are connected with a boiler that continuously heats the water and sends them through the pipe. As the pipes are evenly spread throughout the room, thus the temperature of the room is maintained.
