August 18th, 2007illogically I will start with how not to get good rank (as in page rank, pr, googlepoints.) Do not rip content off! - stealing erics blog text might be hilarious after you replace the word ‘love’ with ‘anal penetration’ or such but it will innevitably make google think your a deviant and you need to be punished.
do not type google 1 million times. even though it would be nice to be top of google for the word google - do you really think you can beat google?
do not swear prefusly during online discussions, focus groups, blogs, comments yada yada.
do not spend hours reading dribble about correct SEO tactics, the history of googlefodder or other googlecrap. Learn the basics and only learn it from the people that have succesful sites.
do not pay loads for links, ‘proven seo and sem’ tools etc.- make do - there are great tools, free link building ways etc that will work fine until you are turning over 9million +
do enter competitions though - like this seo competition: www.rankrace.com - they claim to be the internet olympics - not quite but there is a spark there that somehow shows seo hope. Think they might be onto an googlemindfield
