Laptop Computers - Gotta Have One
July 28th, 2007Laptop Computers are becoming powerful enough these days to replace the bulky space-hungry desktop computers. Can you think of something a desktop computer can do that a good laptop cannot? I didn’t think so.
Graphics, communications, music, video, burning videos or music CDs, internet, bluetooth; it’s all there wrapped up in a convenient and portable notebook computer.
Perhaps that’s why almost every university student carries one in their backpack between classes and to the library to study.
I remember the days when notebook computers were just very expensive retro-desktop computers that were prone to breakage, were slow running, and that contained minimal amounts of memory capability - forget about multi-media!
There are some truly great laptop computers for sale these days - by great, I mean reliable workhorses with great entertainment capabilities and interconnectedness to the rest of the world. Auto-wifi connectivity to the web and email make these machines wonderful companions and a tremendous help in researching papers or reports or whatever.
One of my favorite laptops today whether you’re a student or not is the MacBook Pro Notebook. It’s has a very generous 17 inch screen that’s very easy to read and of course the Apple OS. People who have it have smiles on their faces.
The fact is that Apple has come a long way in bringing to the world what the world wants. How about the ipod? the iphone? The ipod shuffle?
Laptops have come into their own and will quickly replace the desktop machines we see everywhere in offices. Clear off those desks in your cube and get ready for the briefcase laptops!
